After flying out to Durham for the wedding, we decided to extend our stay another week and head down to Myrtle Beach, SC - just 4 hours from Durham. We arrived Sunday afternoon and it was pouring down rain. I hate to say it, but it was somewhat of a relief. We all needed some downtime after the wedding.
We checked into the Grand Dunes Marriott Resort & Spa, unpacked our bags and went down to grab an early dinner on the patio. And of course we had to take a walk on the beach even though it just rained. We thought we might find some great shells. We did find some that were truly spectacular to Dylan. She wanted to keep them all . Luckily we were able to take a short walk before it started to rain again. It was so windy, the sand hurt as it hit us. Back inside to tour the resort and then to the room for an early nights sleep.
